Sacred Somatics: The Method is a three-part, deep emotional healing method created by Alana Williamson to heal the emotional trauma in her own life. It is The Method which engages the analytical mind, the body, and the soul in a safe space with a compassionate coach who will guide you gently through your healing journey.

Sacred Somatics is not nervous system work. Yes, we need to be in a regulated nervous system to experience deep healing but solely regulating your nervous system will not provide healing from trauma.
Somatic exercise movement, on its own, is not somatic healing. Often, we see so many ads for somatic exercise that promise to release trauma. This is simply not going to work for the long term. Although you can release stored emotions in the body through somatic exercise, you cannot expect to experience long term transformation unless you also address the connection between the mind, body and soul and bring that into balance.
Sacred Somatics is a guided meditation that first helps regulate the nervous system through relaxation and through turning our attention to the body. You are deeply grounded and meditative before allowing and gently being with any emotions that come up. This is where the soul gets involved in the conversation in a deep and meaningful way.
From here you are guided to learn how to be with and process these emotions through and out of the body using breath work and movement for lasting relief from the many mental, emotional and physical symptoms (such as negative thinking, feeling overwhelmed with daily life, muscle tension) of trapped emotions. This helps you bring your energy into balance and makes space in your mind, body and soul for life’s daily stressors. I will coach you on how to release new daily emotions as they arise through movement.
To close, we dive deeper into the root cause by inviting in the analytical mind to process through writing exercises, journaling and when appropriate, speaking exercises. You are encouraged to continue processing between sessions by taking the tools that you gain in your session with you to practice in your daily life as you continue to process what came up for you in session. Integration is a very important part of this process. This journey is for everyone!
